Job Title: Administrative and Communication Assistant
Activities
- Conduct interviews for institution and official functions.
- Provide communication backstopping for exhibitions, events, and institution activities.
- Generate and write stories for the institution newsletter (bulletin and Talking Drums).
- Assist the Scientist and team member with day-to-day administrative processes.
- Facilitate organization of project meeting, events and travel.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Candidate Profile
- B.Sc / HND qualification in Mass Communication, Public Administration or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
- Have a positive attitude, strong team spirit and the ability to work well in a diverse team.
- Be well organized, able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines with keen attention to details.
- Be fluent in Hausa language (speaking and writing).
- Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with demonstrated experience with setting up and providing support for online meeting using Zoom or MS Teams.
- Have photography skills, report writing and event coverage.
- Have excellent writing and oral communication skills.
