Job Title: Mechanical Welder

Description

• Responsible for welding metal components together in accordance with specifications and engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
• Utilize various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metals effectively.
• Conduct thorough inspections of welded pieces to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure it operates at peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions to welding challenges.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment.
• Keep precise records of work completed, materials used, and timesheets.
• Participate in training and workshops to enhance welding skills and knowledge.
• Assist in planning and executing repair work on welding machinery and structural components.

Requirements

• HND/OND/Trade Test in Welding Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years of welding experience in an industrial setting
• Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc)
• Strong understanding of welding codes and standards
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
