Job Title: Supply Chain Director
Activities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure seamless operations.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Logistics & Distribution:
- Oversee logistics processes, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Optimize routes, manage carriers, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Inventory Management:
- Implement effective inventory control processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the supply chain by streamlining processes, renegotiating supplier contracts, and improving operational efficiency.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to supply chain operations.
- Mitigate risks by implementing contingency plans and monitoring supplier performance.
- Technology & Data Analytics:
- Leverage technology, such as ERP systems, to improve visibility across the supply chain.
- Analyze data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with procurement, projects, finance, and sales teams to ensure alignment and coordination across the supply chain.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, with a proven track record in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., ERP, SAP) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems efficiently, and make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and global supply chain trends.
