Overview
- In commemoration of its 35/25th Anniversary (35 years of incorporation and 25 years of operational excellence), NLNG wishes to announce a special edition of the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme – UGSS Special Edition for its Host Communities.
- The UGSS Special Edition is designed to empower exceptional students from the Company’s Host Communities by providing financial support necessary to complete their undergraduate studies at Nigerian public universities.
Requirements / Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an indigene of any of the NLNG’s Host Communities.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Nigerian federal or state-owned university for an undergraduate program.
- Must possess at least five O-Level credits including Mathematics and English, in WASC, SSCE or NECO in ONE sitting.
- Must have scored a minimum of 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Must be a certified full-time student of a Nigerian federal or state-owned university, currently admitted to study Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, Environmental, or Geo-science courses.
- Must have consistently maintained a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) in every academic year prior to
applying for UGSS Special Edition and must continue to meet this standard throughout the scholarship period. - Must be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application.
- Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any other organization.
- Must NOT be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of NLNG.
- Must provide a valid identification letter from the applicable host community and Local Government Council.

The Application Procedure
- You are to apply using your registered Email address and Mobile number
- Ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents for upload:
- Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
- O-Level and UTME results
- University and JAMB Admission letter
- University student ID card
- National Population Commission Issued Birth certificate
- Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
- National ID Number (NIN) Slip
- Complete academic transcripts from 100 level to the most recent academic year, signed and stamped by the university’s registry, exams unit, or the appropriate authority.
- Community letter of identification signed by a Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or paramount ruler/king.

- Proceed to your email box to activate your account
- Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
- Enter your personal information, educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.
- Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order.
- Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
- When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.

- Click “Apply Now” to submit information
- You will receive an email that confirms your application was successful.

- Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents
- Ensure you attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload
