Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (Lamp Stack)

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using PHP (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
Design and manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Build microservices and optimize backend logic.
Integrate third-party systems (HRMS, Active Directory, wearables, etc.).
Implement caching strategies using Redis or Memcached for performance optimization.
Ensure security and encryption, following best practices in data privacy and compliance.
Optimize backend services for scalability in cloud environments (AWS / Azure).
Implement server-side security features like data encryption, SSL/TLS.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade backend systems.
Manage web servers (Apache, Nginx) and maintain server configurations.
Document technical designs and system architecture.
Collaborate with DevOps for smooth CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, Docker.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of backend development experience with PHP (Laravel, Symfony) and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of the LAMP stack and web server management (Apache, Nginx).
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in API development and integration.
Expertise in database design, optimization, and query performance with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS / Azure.
Familiarity with security best practices, data encryption, and access control mechanisms.
Experience with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Salary
N800,000 / N1,200,000 / month.
