Job Title: National Consultancy: Support the Content Development and operationalization of Digital Village in Sokoto, Nigeria

How can you make a difference?
- Conduct an in-depth needs assessment, focusing on the specific priorities of stakeholders and understanding the educational, technological, and socio-cultural needs, of the target audience (out-of-school Adolescent girls and Almajiri), as well as priority areas of learning for the community and government.
- Install and configure all IT equipment, including computers, tablets, servers, and wireless broadband solutions.
- Integrate a Learning Management System (LMS) with existing Nigeria learning Passport (for tracking enrollment and course registration and completion) that supports multimedia content and real-time tracking of learner progress.
- Implement data protection and cybersecurity measures, as outlined in the security and privacy guidelines.
- Develop and localize a culturally relevant curriculum that includes digital literacy, foundational literacy and numeracy, vocational training, and life skills programs tailored to the needs of out-of-school Adolescent girls and Almajiri in Sokoto.
- Translate and adapt content to local languages (Hausa) and ensure it aligns with national education standards and cultural contexts.
- Pilot the curriculum and gather feedback and refine it based on learner and community inputs.
- Recruit and train facilitators and IT support staff.
- Provide comprehensive training programs covering digital literacy, pedagogical methods, IT maintenance,
- Develop context appropriate digital SBC approaches for Community engagement.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Advanced University degree (Master/PG) in a relevant field of study (Computer sciences/management information System)
- A minimum of 8 years managing educational or technology projects with strong organizational skills.
- IT Infrastructure Specialists: A minimum of 5 years in setting up and managing IT systems and digital learning environments.
- Trainers and Instructors: A minimum of 5 years in delivering digital literacy and vocational training programs, with experience in underserved communities.
- Information Technology Practitioner: Must be a Chartered IT Practitioner (CITP) with the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) CPN.
- Strong analytical skills – references to previous work or institutions
- Previous experience with UNICEF or Recognised internation organization is an advantage.
- Fluency in English
- Excellent writing skills
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
