Job Title: Chemistry Teacher

Description 

• Our client seeks an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality education to secondary school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science, the ability to inspire students, and a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that meet curriculum standards.
• Teach both theoretical concepts and practical laboratory skills to students.
• Conduct experiments and demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of key concepts.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
• Provide individualized support to students needing additional help.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Chemistry into interdisciplinary projects.
• Organize and oversee science-related extracurricular activities such as science fairs.
• Participate in staff development programs, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Chemistry at the secondary school level.
• Certification: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) is preferable.
• Proficiency in laboratory management and safety procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for easy understanding.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
• A strong passion for teaching and mentoring students.
