Job Title: Chinese Translator

Job Summary

• We are hiring three skilled Chinese Translators to support our expanding operations and ensure seamless communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders. The successful candidates will be responsible for translating documents, interpreting conversations, and facilitating cross-linguistic understanding in line with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, including contracts, technical manuals, reports, and business correspondence, between English and Chinese (Traditional and Mandarin), accurately and effectively.
• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and negotiations to bridge language gaps.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure that all translations meet organizational standards and maintain cultural sensitivity.
• Proofread and edit translations for accuracy, consistency, and readability.
• Research technical and industry-specific terminology to ensure precise translations.
• Prepare bilingual materials, presentations, and reports as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Translation, Chinese Language, or related field.
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Chinese Translator or Interpreter, preferably in corporate or technical fields.
• Strong proofreading and editing abilities.
• Familiarity with translation tools and software is an added advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Cultural awareness of both Chinese and Nigerian business environments.
• Previous experience working in a multicultural team.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, onsite positions based in Ode-Remo, Ogun State.
• May require occasional travel for meetings or events with Chinese-speaking partners.
