Job Title: Real Estate Surveyor and Valuer
Job Summary
- The Real Estate Surveyor and Valuer will be responsible for assessing the value and feasibility of land, properties, and developments.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Nigerian real estate market, valuation techniques, and property regulations.
- You will play a key role in supporting investment decisions, project planning, and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed valuation of properties and land using industry-standard methods (market comparison, income approach, etc.).
- Prepare feasibility reports for new and existing developments, including cost estimates, ROI, and market demand analysis.
- Evaluate the financial viability of development projects and recommend strategies to optimize profitability.
- Assess land suitability for development and provide expert advice on zoning, planning, and environmental considerations.
- Assist in negotiations for land acquisition, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, developers, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide professional advice and guidance on real estate transactions, investments, and legal frameworks.
- Conduct regular reviews of the company’s property portfolio to ensure assets are optimally managed and valued. Also support leasing, sales, and property management teams with valuation and pricing insights.
- Ensure all valuations and property dealings comply with local laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management or a related field.
- Membership with professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 5 – 10 years of progressive experience in property valuation, development appraisal, and real estate consultancy.
- Proven track record in high-value property assessments and large-scale development projects.
Skills:
- Exceptional knowledge of the Nigerian real estate market and valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in valuation software and property management tools.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead multidisciplinary teams.
