Job Title: Principal Process Engineer
Responsibilities

- Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Data Integrity (DI), quality and best practice requirements.
- Provide Process Engineering expertise to identify, develop and be able to lead the delivery of some complex projects across a range of industries/technologies at early to mid-stage Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).
- Provide leadership to the growing Process
- Work within a multi-disciplined team of engineers, scientists, and physicists to develop new processes and technologies across a range of industries.
- Deliver, provide guidance, and lead technical solutions in the form of typical engineering deliverables and produce, review, and deliver project reports.
- Develop, provide expertise, and approve plant CAPEX and OPEX estimates.
- Design, execute, and review laboratory and pilot plant trials and be able to analyze, interpret, and report the results of these, translating obtained findings and knowledge.
- Lead hazard studies/safety risk assessment studies and discussions.
- Keep up to date and provide expert knowledge on developments in technological innovations/applications and/or legislative and SHEQ-related changes, ensuring implementation and application of new best practices and/or knowledge.
- Lead in the dissemination of clearly documented records of technical data, decisions, methodologies, calculations, and software use in an agreed format.
- To work collaboratively with Business Development and technical colleagues, providing support relating to proposal/project development and direct customer engagement. Seek out and engage in business development opportunities where appropriate.
- To act as a credible partner to Bid Development teams, actively involved in defining and advising on the technical elements of a bid in order to develop a program of works.
- To formulate and present solutions to a range of stakeholders, using deep technical knowledge to provide up-to-date views, opinions, and advice to managers, and is regularly sought out to do so.
Requirements
- Educated to HNC or Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering plus relevant industrial experience at a senior level.
Or Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering plus relevant industrial experience. - Or educated to master’s degree level (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering plus relevant industrial experience.
- Or educated to Ph.D level (or equivalent) in a Chemical Engineering discipline plus some industrial experience.
- A minimum of 8 years work experience.
