Job Title: Business Operations Manager
Job Overview
- We seek a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Operations Manager to monitor the organization’s functions and build processes that meet the business needs, coordinate with the design team to align with product specifications and market trends, supervise staff, and maintain safety standards while implementing cost-saving measures and optimizing workflow.
- The ideal candidate will also monitor the production schedule to meet deadlines and liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction
- Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- As the Business and Operation Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations, production, procurement, overseeing quality control and assurance.
- Ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with the quality standards.
- Maximize the efficiency of all business procedures.
- Establish production KPIs and conduct quality assessments.
- Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise.
- Build processes that meet the business objectives and ensure supply chain activities compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability.
- Conduct production planning meetings to coordinate schedules and resources, and quality control meetings to participate in the supply chain.
- Be responsible for managing the team and interacting with customers and suppliers.
- Implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
- Manage supplier relationships and supply chain risk, ensuring contract terms and service level agreements achieve maximum benefit to the company.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, and service improvements.
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience of a minimum of 5 years as a Business Operations Manager in the furniture industry, including both e-commerce and manufacturing or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or MBA in Business Administration, Management, Architecture, Interior Design, and Furniture Design related field from a recognized university.
- Good knowledge of operations management in a reputable interior furniture company.
- Experience with databases and project management software.
- The ability to interpret financial data and allocate budgets.
Skill and Competences:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and knowledge of industry trends and best practices are also required.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Use of financial management software such as QUICKBOOKS for budgeting and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes.
