Job Title: Hotel Security Officer
Job Summary
- The Hotel Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. This role involves monitoring hotel premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- The Security Officer plays a key role in preventing unauthorized access, managing emergencies, and providing assistance during crises.
Key Responsibilities
Premises Surveillance:
- Patrol hotel premises, including guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house, to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels for suspicious activity or emergencies.
- Ensure that all entry and exit points are secure and properly monitored.
Guest and Staff Safety:
- Provide a visible security presence to deter potential threats.
- Assist guests with safety-related concerns or issues, including lost property and personal safety.
- Escort guests or staff to parking areas or other locations upon request.
Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Manage situations such as theft, trespassing, disturbances, or medical emergencies.
- Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Policy Enforcement:
- Ensure that guests and staff comply with hotel rules and safety regulations.
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Manage crowd control during events or high-traffic periods.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrols, and security activities in daily logs.
- Prepare detailed reports on significant events or emergencies.
- Report maintenance or safety hazards to the appropriate departments.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in implementing and practicing emergency response procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.
- Provide first aid or CPR if certified and required.
- Act as a point of coordination during crisis situations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with at least 2 years experience.
