Job Title: Product Architect (Commerce)

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Product Design & Architecture: Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures for digital products, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, UX designers, and business leaders to define product roadmaps and ensure seamless integration into existing systems.
• Technology Leadership: Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern technologies, tools, and platforms to support digital product development.
• Cross-Functional Guidance: Provide technical oversight and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development and architecture.
• Scalability & Performance: Design solutions that ensure optimal performance and scalability for high-demand digital applications.
• Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the digital landscape to incorporate innovative solutions into product strategies.

• Strategy Development: Cascade digital and technology strategies for commerce, ensuring alignment with global strategies, policies, and principles. Analyze market segments to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• System Architecture: Develop and maintain high-level system architecture, diagrams, documentation, and best practices for both front-end and back-end systems in the commerce function. Ensure seamless integration of new solutions with existing platforms using modern technologies like cloud, microservices, and APIs.

Educational Qualification

Minimum:

• BSc or master’s degree in computer science/engineering, Systems design, IT or a related technological field.
• 5+ years’ experience in product architecture design or Product management.
• Certifications in Azure, AWS, ITIL etc. will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Java, Python, APIs, microservices).
• Good understanding of MS Power Platforms, Outsystems.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, design patterns, and system integration techniques.
• Experience in product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Other Key Requirements:

Excellent understanding of Sales Systems such as:

• Distributor Management Systems (DMS)
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems e.g. Dynamics/Salesforce
• E-Commerce and Order Management Systems
• Point of Sale (POS) Systems
