Job Title: Cost Accountant

About the Role

• We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing costs to enhance the company’s operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production costs and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain cost accounting reports.
• Monitor budget performance and variance analysis.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost standards.
• Collaborate with the production, procurement, and finance teams to monitor costs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.
• Conduct inventory valuations and maintain cost records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting, HND, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Progress in relevant Professional exams might be an added advantage.
