Job Title: Legal Adviser
Job Summary
- The legal advisor Reports to: Head of Legal, Senior Partner, or Real Estate Director
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Advise on and manage real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and financing.
- Contract Review and Draftine: Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Client Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters.
- Negotiation and Dispute Resolution: Negotiate and resolve disputes related to real estate transactions.
- Document Management: Maintain and manage real estate documents, including deeds, titles, and contracts.
Required Skills
- Law Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.).
- Experience: 4-5 years
- Age range: 25-35
- Real Estate Law Knowledge: Expertise in real estate law, including property law, contract law, and land use regulations.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex real estate transactions.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to advise clients and negotiate transactions.
- Time Management and Organization: Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Office Environment: Typically work in an office environment, with occasional travel to client sites or court appearances.
- Fast-Paced and Dynamic: Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with multiple transactions and deadlines.
Certifications:
- Nigerian Bar Association (NBA): Membership in the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is required to practice law in Nigeria.
- Real Estate Certification: Certification in real estate law, such as the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, is an added advantage.
Salary
N400,000 monthly.
