Job Title: Social Media Officer
Job Summary
- The Social Media Officer is responsible for developing and implementing content marketing campaigns appropriate to the channels being used.
- Monitoring social media channels to respond appropriately to posts / comments, and identifying issues that require escalation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all social media accounts and pages.
- Develop creative ways to maximize content across platforms and media types.
- Develop a creative social media content calendar on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Respond to any mentions over social media platforms and engage with the social media users
- Regularly monitoring the competitor social media sites and creating analysis report.
- Manages all social media channels and campaigns to sustain an engaging audience experience and to increase audience satisfaction.
- Researches and analyses social media trends, including social media ad revenue and web visitor data, to improve social media presence and campaign efficacy.
- Create content to promote company blog on a weekly basis.
- Analyse social media campaigns with tracking systems to determine areas for improvement
- Gather visitor’s data to understand consumer impression and make recommendations for new strategies.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media.
- Report social media performance through analytics weekly, monthly, and often per campaign analytics.
- Analyses social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor
- Monitors and develops reports on competitor activity within social media spaces
- Develop innovative digital growth strategies to improve online visibility with reasonable returns-on-investment
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar role.
- Passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce engaging and high-quality content across various platforms
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in creating engaging and impactful social media content shaped by insight (video, images, blog posts, storytelling, live video)
- Ability to write engaging, call-to-action focused ad copy and messaging
- Excellent knowledge of strong community management experience across all major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Experience in using social media management tools such as Hootsuite etc.
- A solid understanding of the social media landscape, emerging channels and trends
- Understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics and social media KPIs
- Ability to think creatively about developing the social media channels
- Ability to create persuasive texts and ad copies.
- Eye for detail – maintaining accountability for every cash spent on our client campaigns.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
