Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary

• We are looking for a experiencedand passionate Mathematics Teacher to teach mathematics to students in JSSto SSS. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing mathematics lessons, as well as providing support to students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and teach mathematics lessons to students.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and support students who require extra help.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Provide support for students’ emotional, social, and academic well-being.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in mathematics.
• Possession of a teaching certification (e.g., TRCN, PGDE).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching mathematics to students in JSS to SSS levels.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian curriculum.
• Certification in special education or learning support.
