Job Title: Project Services / Controls Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly experienced Project Services/Controls Manager with 5–7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to oversee project services functions, including cost control, planning, scheduling, risk management, and project performance monitoring.
- The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry regulations, optimize resource utilization, and enhance project delivery efficiency.
Job Description
- Develop and implement project controls systems, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and cost tracking.
- Oversee project scheduling and planning to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor project performance, variance analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
- Identify and mitigate project risks and deviations, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act 2010 and other industry regulations.
- Coordinate and manage contract administration, procurement tracking, and project reporting.
- Implement and maintain document control systems to manage project data effectively.
- Provide detailed progress reports, cost forecasts, and performance dashboards for management.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and communication.
- Support project governance, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and manage project control systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with NCDMB regulations and NOGICD Act 2010.
- Oversee budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to maintain cost efficiency.
- Provide analytical data and performance insights for management review.
- Maintain effective document control and data management systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely risk assessment and mitigation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and cost efficiency.
Academic Qualifications
- University degree/Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field).
Work Experience:
- 5 – 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on project controls, cost management, scheduling, or project services.
Technical/Leadership Skills:
- Proficiency in cost control, financial forecasting, and budget management.
- Strong expertise in project scheduling and planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Experience in risk assessment, change management, and project performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience working with NCDMB regulations and NOGICD Act 2010 compliance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex project data for decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with senior leadership and external regulators.
- Proven ability to work in a high-paced, multi-project environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
