Job Title: Cost Accountant

Responsibilities
Cost Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze financial data to determine the cost of producing goods or services.
• Prepare and present cost reports to management, including cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and overhead analysis.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, including job costing, process costing, and standard costing.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, including developing cost estimates and analyzing variances.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies, and provide recommendations for cost improvement.

Cost Control and Reduction:

• Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop and implement cost control measures, including monitoring and reporting on cost variances.

Compliance and Financial Analysis:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies, and provide recommendations for financial improvement.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously improve cost accounting processes and procedures, including identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation of cost accounting processes and procedures.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide support for external audits and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with other departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide cost accounting support.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirement

• 4 – 10 years of experience.
