Job Title: Head of Sales
Job Summary
- The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and achieving business objectives.
- This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in sales management, channel development, and performance forecasting.
- The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams, particularly in the consumer and SME sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales organization, including direct sales, retail, and channel partner networks.
- Drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence.
Performance Management & Market Insight:
- Monitor sales performance and implement effective forecasting techniques.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
- Continuously improve sales processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage a results-driven sales team.
- Implement a performance management system to track and improve team effectiveness.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the sales team.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Serve as a key member of the Leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy.
- Work closely with product development to ensure market-fit offerings.
- Represent the company at industry events and act as a spokesperson when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Proven experience in building and scaling multichannel sales organizations (direct sales, channel partners, and retail).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent sales hiring, training, and team development capabilities.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and forecasting skills.
- Ability to manage conflict and maintain effective business relationships.
- Telecommunications industry experience is highly desirable.
- Potential to grow into a broader commercial leadership role.
Salary
N1,000,000 monthly.
