Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary

• We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our cosmetics manufacturing company. 
• The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support the business with timely reporting to drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.).
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for production and operations.
• Track production costs and perform inventory accounting to support pricing and profitability analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders as required.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (or in progress) such as ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage.
• 4 or more years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within themanufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Tallyand Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
