Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary

• The Junior Accountant will assist the senior accounting team in managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company. 
• The Junior Accountant will be responsible for tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Generate and send invoices to customers.
• Track and record customer payments.
• Perform accurate data entry into accounting software.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and organize financial records.
• Assist with the preparation of journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain organized filing systems.
• Assist in inventory control-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable institution
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 per month.
