Job Summary

• The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the bank with a focus on financial reporting and analysis. 
• This role will involve helping to drive strategic financial decisions through accurate and timely financial insights while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on time, in line with regulatory standards.
• Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources to ensure it is up-to-date, accurate, and suitable for reporting purposes.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Assist in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Provide support for audits and reviews, ensuring all financial data is available and accurately presented.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas within the financial processes where improvements can be made and suggest solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as operations and risk management, to provide financial insights and assist in the decision-making process.
• Performance Tracking: Track and analyze key financial metrics to monitor the bank’s financial performance, ensuring that financial objectives are met.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in various finance-related projects, offering financial data, analysis, and recommendations as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends effectively.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and financial functions).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to collaborate with different teams and work independently to meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,500,000 Annually (Gross).
