Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Relations Officer to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. 
• As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our public image, managing media relations, and implementing effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and maintain strong relationships with and key stakeholders
• Create marketing strategies for the school 
• Manage and grow the company’s social media presence across various platforms
• Plan and coordinate press conferences, media events, excursions and other PR activities
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and public opinion
• Provide strategic counsel to leadership on communication matters and potential PR issues
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage reputational risks
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and marketing 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in public relations or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
• Strong media relations skills and a proven track record of successful media placements
• Proficiency in social media management and content creation
• Experience in developing and implementing PR strategies and campaigns
• Demonstrated ability in crisis management and reputation protection
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Event planning and coordination experience
• Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in public relations
