Job Title: Application Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate requirements into technical design with documentation. 
• Work collaboratively with a team and iteratively through design and development to deliver fully functioning application services and integrations, channel systems (USSD, web-based and mobile applications).
• Employ agile methodologies to quickly provide business with the solutions they need.
• Document all aspects of the development process for future reference and improvement.
• Coordinate with the technical operations team to ensure that application support is seamless.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline. 
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science would be added advantage.

Experience, Attributes & Skills Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development, including leading a team and a project work stream.
• Experience in architecture, development and design of complex distributed enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as RSpec, JUnit or Selenium
• Strong application development knowledge of any of the following technologies: PHP, Java, C#, XML, Java script, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS.
