Job Title: Brand and Communication Officer
Job Description
- The Brand and Communication Officer is responsible for shaping the public image of the company, managing internal and external communications, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
- The role requires creative storytelling, strategic thinking, and strong execution to build awareness, drive engagement, and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management:
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistent brand identity.
- Manage the use of logos, fonts, taglines, and messaging across all communications.
- Work with product and sales teams to align branding efforts with business goals.
Communications Strategy:
- Design and implement communication plans that support marketing campaigns and corporate objectives.
- Draft and edit press releases, speeches, newsletters, blogs, and articles.
- Coordinate public relations efforts and media outreach.
Digital and Social Media Management:
- Plan and manage the company’s social media content calendar and platforms.
- Develop and monitor online engagement strategies to grow digital presence.
- Manage website content, ensuring timely updates and alignment with brand messaging.
Internal Communications:
- Create internal newsletters, announcements, and staff engagement content.
- Support leadership in communicating organizational updates and achievements.
Event and Campaign Support:
- Coordinate corporate events, media briefings, product launches, and sponsorships.
- Support promotional campaigns with content, visuals, and public-facing messaging.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and analyze performance metrics (e.g., engagement, brand sentiment, media coverage).
- Prepare monthly reports and offer recommendations for improvement.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, and/or Practical ICT skill
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIM, NIPR, Digital Marketing) are added advantages.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience in branding, marketing communications, PR, or a similar role.
- Prior experience in healthcare, FMCG, or tech sectors is an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative storytelling and content development.
- Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) are an advantage.
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and analytics tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Project management and multitasking ability.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
- Familiarity with social media trends and online reputation management.
Other Requirements:
- Portfolio of past work (writing samples, campaign snapshots, or brand projects).
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required.
- Strong work ethic and professional integrity.
- Ability to travel for field campaigns or corporate events when needed.
Remuneration
- N40,000 – N120,000 / Month commensurate with experience.
- Performance-based bonuses.
- Training and development opportunities.
