Job Title: Head of Architecture & Design

About the Role

• Our Client is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Architecture & Design to lead our creative and technical design team in Nigeria. 
• This is a senior leadership role within our growing interior design company, responsible for overseeing all architectural and interior design projects—from concept development through to execution.
• The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative flair, technical excellence, and team leadership, with a strong portfolio of commercial projects. 
• You’ll work closely with clients, senior management, and contractors to ensure that every design reflects the company’s high standards and aligns with client goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the architecture and design team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the design process from initial concept through to final execution on commercial interior projects.
• Ensure the integration of architectural principles with interior design, delivering cohesive and innovative spaces.
• Present and communicate design concepts, plans, and visualisations to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of all projects.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with external consultants, engineers, and contractors as required.
• Maintain awareness of emerging trends, materials, and technologies within architecture and interior design.
• Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, building codes, and health C safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in architecture and interior design, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong portfolio of completed commercial projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar design tools).
• Excellent understanding of architectural detailing, materials, construction methods, and space planning.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
• Confident in client presentations and team coordination.

What We Offer

• Salary: N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
