Job Title: Team Lead, Branch Sales
Job Summary
- The Team Lead Branch Sales Officer (BSO) is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by promoting financial products and services within the branch.
- As a Team Lead, this role involves supervising the sales team, setting targets, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to ensure goals are met.
- The Team Lead BSO fosters collaboration, motivates staff, and enhances customer satisfaction while contributing to the branch’s overall growth and reputation.
Role Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead the branch sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets for financial products such as loans, savings accounts, insurance, and investments.
- Develop strategies for the team to acquire new business, ensuring alignment with branch objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members in identifying potential customers and engaging with walk-in clients to promote financial products and services.
- Support team members in cross-selling financial products tailored to customer needs, fostering a holistic service approach.
- Collaborate with branch management and other teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Identify potential customers and develop strategies to acquire new business in line with branch objectives.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong and lasting relationships with customers by understanding their financial goals and providing tailored solutions.

- Monitor the team’s performance in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving client concerns to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Market and Product Knowledge:
- Ensure the team stays updated on the latest financial products, services, and industry trends to better serve clients.
- Lead the team in understanding the competitive landscape and adapting sales strategies to local market needs.
- Encourage proactive monitoring of market conditions and customer preferences to adjust approaches as needed.
Sales Reporting and Administration:
- Review and consolidate team sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and submit them to management with actionable insights.
- Organize regular meetings with the team to share best practices, strategies, and insights to boost performance.
- Work with branch management to analyze team sales performance and recommend strategies for improvement.

Compliance and Risk Management:
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines, company policies, and ethical standards while selling financial products.

- Monitor and address potential risks related to product offerings, customer concerns, or compliance within the team.

- Organize regular meetings with the team to share best practices, strategies, and insights to boost performance.
- Encourage team participation in branch meetings and training sessions to improve skills and stay updated on company developments.
- Create and execute workforce plans and organizational development strategies, in support of the company’s business strategy and operational objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance on performance management including leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, coaching talent reviews, and terminations.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. (Master’s Degree or relevant certifications like CFP, CFA are a plus).
- Experience: 5 – 7 years of experience in sales or business development within the financial services industry, preferably in a branch or retail banking environment.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse customers.
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend the most suitable financial products.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving financial environment.
