Job Title: Legal Officer

Responsibilities

• Review contract documentation and draft contracts
• Give advice & opinion on legal issues bearing in mind the company’s activities (Sales & Services of Diesel Generators)
• Give advice and opinion on Property & Warehousing issues
• Draft letters & responses to parties in transactions with John Holt Plc., Service & other units.
• Represent Legal Unit in meetings & prepare monthly report
• Liaise with external solicitors on cases in court
• Filing of statutory reports to relevant authorities
• Assist the Company Secretary in other deem fit and any other assignment assigned to him.

Requirements

• Minimum second class degree in law
• 5+ years post qualification experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and an ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details
• A proactive approach to risk management and problem solving
• Good client relationship and ability to work confidently, independently & interact at all levels of the organization.
• Relationship management skills & openness to feedback.
