Job Title: Financial Analyst, Associate
Job Summary
- The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support within the company’s finance department, with the preparation of management performance reports and analysis, assisting with daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, and other various reporting and departmental support requirements.
- The Financial Analyst plays an important role in assisting and collating data and preparing and streamlining reports spotlighting trends in budget vs actuals by various dimensions, as well as other non-financial information. As well as ensuring compliance with company policies and the internal month-end reporting timetable.
Responsibilities
- Assist and develop standardised data sources and streamline recurring standard management reports, executive reporting, and dashboards whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy of reports.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline data handling, reporting tools, and BI processes, and assist in the implementation of changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and report Budget vs Actuals performance by various dimensions, e.g., by Department, UAP, Project, and other key metrics
- Assist in reporting Treasury, Accounts Payable, Capex, and OpenX trends and analysis
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, providing data and analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist in daily accounting/treasury operations, including posting transactions to the general ledger, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, such as bank & cash, accounts payable, and other balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team in maintaining internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, to achieve professional certification or qualifications (ICAN, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or similar) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems, and workflows.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint, Access, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of financial integrity.
