Job Title: Senior Production Engineer

Role Summary

• We are looking for a production engineer to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• This involves designing and implementing production plans, monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Ensuring all aspects of the manufacturing process work together harmoniously to produce high-quality carpets efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

• Creating and executing plans for carpet production, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow design.
• Analyzing existing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing changes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure carpets meet established standards.
• Investigating and resolving problems that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or material defects.
• Monitoring production expenses and implementing strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
• Collaborating with departments like design, purchasing, and sales to ensure smooth production operations.
• Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring the workplace adheres to safety regulations.
• Educating employees on new technologies, processes, and safety procedures.
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• B.Sc/HND in Textile Engineering
• 5 – 10 years proven work experience
• Understanding of carpet manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
• Ability to motivate and guide production staff.

Experience:

• Previous work experience in textile company
• Knowledge of weaving machines is an added advantage
