Job Title: Team Lead, Group Life Claims

Responsibilities

• Responsible for upholding the Group Life claim process
• Responsible for the verification and completeness of claim documentation in line with the approved operational standards
• Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all claim’s operational and statutory registers
• Responsible for the timely and accuracy of the discharge liabilities
• Responsible for claims report and claim’ age analysis assessment.
• Implementing claim procedures for efficiency and accuracy
• Monitoring and managing claims reserves Discharge Voucher Processing
• Responsible for reviewing all standards documents before Discharge Voucher is issued.
• Following up with the insured/broker to ensure the discharge voucher is executed and returned promptly
• Upon receipt of the executed discharge voucher, ensure payment is made within the stipulated time frame
• Ensure claims payment are registered in the settled register and send to DMS for scanning and closure.
• Ensuring all recoverable on facultative placements are imputed on the software.
• Prepare NAICOM reports for Paid and outstanding claims quarterly
• Prepare report for Bids on request
• Reviewing and analyzing claim reports, making decisions on appeals and disputes
• Ensure rendition of regulatory reports as it relates to claims – monthly, Quarterly, et.c

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science/Law or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in an insurance firm
• A student member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), being an Associate Member will be an added advantage.
• Good Communications Skills
• Good knowledge of Group Life Market, the Insurance regulatory policies, laws and practices are essential.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
