Job Title: Business Development Manager
Description
- To support our expansion drive, we are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition, build strong partnerships, and drive revenue growth in Abuja and beyond.
- This role is for a motivated professional with proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the healthcare or insurance sector.
Role Overview
- As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence, acquiring new clients, and building profitable relationships that ensure sustainable growth. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and executing strategies that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Client Acquisition:
- Develop and implement business development plans to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Identify new markets, client segments, and partnership opportunities.
- Lead client pitches, presentations, and negotiations to close deals.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, corporate organizations, and individual clients.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention through proactive account management.
Product & Service Promotion:
- Work with internal teams to tailor health plans to client needs.
- Support marketing efforts through feedback-driven insights and effective promotion strategies.
Revenue Growth & Performance Tracking:
- Achieve revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Prepare regular reports on market performance, pipeline, and growth opportunities.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new individual and corporate clients acquired
- Revenue growth from new and existing accounts
- Quality and sustainability of strategic partnerships
- Client retention and satisfaction levels
- Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- 5–7 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within HMO/health insurance.
- Good understanding of the Nigerian healthcare insurance industry and NHIA regulations.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
