Job Title: Female Software Technical Writer Graduate Trainee

Job Description
- We are looking to recruit a young female technical writer who is seeking to build a career and experience in writing product documentation and content for IT Software using a structured DITA approach. You will also gain experience in using structured XML authoring tools with experience of writing API documentation also being an advantage but not essential.
- In addition to product documentation for software users using the structured DITA approach, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to write product documentation with the user in mind. You must be able to build excellent working relationships with the product management and product development team. You need the curiosity and passion to gain a real insight into the software and how it is used by clients to ensure that your documentation is easy to use, concise, and gives clear guidance.

- You will be the first to create and execute newly defined methods, standards, and practices to deliver accurate and compelling content that delights our customers.
- Your first job as a technical writer will be to help configure the Product with templates, layouts, and best practice workflows to deliver product docs, release notes, and other resources.
- You’ll also review content from non-writer colleagues outside of the team to produce content that augments the technical docs.
Responsibilities
- Help establish and be responsible for product docs, helping design and set up the various Products.
- Create and publish product docs, release notes, and changelogs.
- Collaborate on the Support knowledge base. You’ll be responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure that our customer support information is valuable and cohesive, creating a frictionless experience for customers and enabling them to self-serve answers to their questions.
- Review and edit documentation and other content for non-writer colleagues.
- Share knowledge freely and coach less experienced writers and non-writer colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent Presentation and Inter personnel skills
- Excellent Writing Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Fast Leaner
- Well Organized and Articulated.
- Good Laptop (500GB, 8GB Ram and Core I5).
Experience required:
- 1 – 3 years work experience.
- Technical writing experience, delivering digital content like product documentation, Help websites and knowledge bases, how-to training tutorials, and other content.
- A skilled writer and editor: consistent voice, straightforward and lively style, always empathetic to the user’s point of view.
- Able to write for various audiences (developers, end-users, and internal), understanding their different needs and adapting your writing accordingly.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Skilled in a broad range of standard technical writing and tech tools: structured authoring tools like Paligo or Madcap Flare; Git; Jira, image editing tools like SnagIt, video editing tools like Captivate.
- Learn basic programming in C# and the Rest API concept for documentation purposes.
- You need to be able to work with a variety of different types of people and will maintain a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, even when things are changed at the last minute.
- Provide technical expertise in ensuring design teams have a clear understanding of the publication development, production, and upkeep process.
- Liaise with product suppliers in support of technical publication technologies whilst maintaining personal and technical reports, records, etc. of all technical publication activities to a high standard.
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer and industrial partners’ interaction, strong resilience, and a good communicator.

Note: However, kindly note you can choose the option for us to train you for just 1 year and we pay you a fixed salary of N30,000 without any of the Benefits outlined at the top as it is meant for the 4 years Program (1-year Internship and 3 years Full-Time Job).
