We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lagos (All Project Sites)
Department: Commercial Department
Summary
- The Quantity Surveyor shall provide commercial support to the project team, maintain commercial information, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform risk, value management and cost control.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Ensure compliance with standard organizational practices (HSSE, QMS)
- Presents execution budget for newly awarded projects to management for approval.
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and organizational.
- Ensure accurate cash flow reporting and milestone tracking takes place.
- Carry out cost management, including forecasting.
- Ensure timely submission of valuation requests and milestone payments.
- Update the monthly CVF, cost, and commercial plans, have accountability, and the project team for commercial performance and strategy.
- Ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
- Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
- Have a good understanding of the processes and procedures used by any JV/Alliance that we are working within and assist in their development and improvement.
- Ensure that any central contracts entered have terms and conditions appropriate for CKL, with commercial risks identified.
- Ensure that the supply chain/procurement are engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
- Develop good client relationships.
- Drive and manage third party negotiations for adequate cost savings.
- Manage variations and claims effectively.
- Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting.
- Effectively manage the commercial team, including cost clerks and support staff
- Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operations teams.
- Supervise, coach and mentor team members.

Educational Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a Project Management, Real Estate, or a similar role
- Use of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Membership of NIQS is compulsory
- Membership of RIQS is an added advantage.
- Excellent commercial awareness
