Hajiya Lami Fintiri, the wife of the Adamawa State Governor has disbursed N5 million to 500 women as empowerment grants in Ganye Local Government Area.
The Director-General of Media and Publicity, Solomon Kumangar disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Wednesday.

He stated that each of the beneficiaries received N10,000 as an empowerment grant aimed at promoting self-sustainability among rural women.
According to him, the beneficiaries are expected to make judicious use of the amount by engaging in small-scale businesses and other productive ventures, stressing that “we would expand the scope to cover other areas.”
He further said that the initiative was championed through the foundation of the governor’s wife called Fresh Air Profile Empowerment Foundation.
