At the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, the National Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and the Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute (HEDI) were awarded nine months.

The Ministry has reviewed the delivery process of the N-Build program for the purpose of determining the relevance of the program to the federal government’s job creation / poverty reduction agenda and noted the capabilities of four existing professional vocational training institutes. The proposed training program includes three months of center-class training, six months for apprenticeship, post-apprenticeship, consultant with Starter Pax provision and assessment for National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) Certification Award.

The N-Build Apprenticeship Program will be coordinated at FCT centers in 36 states and approximately 350 local government sectors.

The National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism will provide baking, cooking / catering, housekeeping and mixology for the beneficiaries as well as all areas of hospitality and tourism, directly and indirectly to the associated professional and technical professionals. The Industrial Training Fund ITF will provide training to the beneficiaries in Electrical, Masonry, Plumbing and Carpentry.

Training services in automobile and agritech tracks will be handled by the National Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) while the Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute (HDIDI) will provide benefits in welding and fabrication, electrical fittings and plumbing.
