The Federal Government has launched a ₦15 million NYIF loan program designed to support growth-stage businesses and others. Approved by the Federal Executive Council in March 2024, these loans are aimed at improving financial access for young entrepreneurs and youth-owned enterprises, thereby promoting national development.
Barely 10 days after the relaunch of @NYIF_NG, no less than 200k applications have been submitted. Hon Minister@HMYD_Nigeria, announcing NYIF relaunch said, “This important initiative marks a watershed moment in Nigeria’s economic dev with youth innovative ideas at its core.”

Are you a young entrepreneur with a vision for the future? The Federal Ministry of Youth Development is delighted to announce the relaunch of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) loan.
“They aim to generate employment opportunities to reduce youth unrest, especially among out-of-school, marginalized, unemployed, and underemployed youths.
Furthermore, these loans incentivize young people to undertake sustainable income-generating initiatives, fostering their active participation in Nigeria’s socio-economic growth through youth enterprise clusters across the country.
The initiative aims to economically empower Nigerian youths, with the objective of generating at least one million jobs by 2024.”
Requirements for the Fifteen (15) Million NYIF Loan
To be eligible for the NYIF, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Nigerian citizen aged between 18 and 40 years old.
- Have a business or business concept that aligns with the goals of the Fund.
- Possess a National Identification Number (NIN).
- Demonstrate commitment to advancing Nigeria’s economic growth.
- Present a viable business proposal.
