Job Title: Gender Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Social Accountability Officer

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term

Job Requirements

First Degree or equivalent in Gender and Development Studies, Social Work, Demography, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Statistics, Humanitarian Studies, or other relevant qualification (MSc. is highly desirable).
Minimum of 2 years of “hands-on” working experience in designing learning, and monitoring systems on gender programs; gender analysis, report writing, and program work, including field experience and/or with institutional donors.
Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ or performance monitoring plans.
Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis using feminist methodologies.
Proven success in designing, implementing and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
Strong analytical skills and experience using a computerized information management system (Microsoft Word, Excel, Statistical analysis software, field data collection tools ODK, Mwater App, Kobo Toolbox, GIS mapping, etc.)
Commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims and policies and experience of promoting women’s rights and the interests of marginalized people in all aspects of Oxfam’s work.
Proven experience working with partner organizations and helping them develop their independent expertise and ability to deliver results, through effective capacity-building and learning and development activities.
Fluency in English and Hausa is required (Knowledge of Fulfude will be an added advantage).
Applicant must be national/local – must devote a minimum of 90 percent of the time to project activities to achieve expected outcomes.
