Job Title: Export Sales Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Position Overview:
- The Export Sales Manager (ESM) is responsible for managing and developing export sales to West African region, building relationships with clients, and ensuring smooth logistics for exporting goods to achieve set targets.
- She/he will identify markets expansion opportunities on a growing/continuous basis.
- With leadership skills and industry experience, She/he will ensure export sales and thereby earn valuable foreign exchange and improve significantly the profitability of Dangote Packaging Limited through high level client attraction and retention.
Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for export sales.
- Set, monitor and report on export sales goals.
- Design, branding, positioning, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material).
- Develop and implement sales plans to support business goals. Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes, new products and features).
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
- Drive the negotiation of the best rates in the interest of our organization. Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives.
- Provide accurate and timely S&M information, analysis, and reports to aid in decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with Sales regulations and international standard certifications as required by local and international clients.
- Identify and assess potential threats or risk while proposing and implementing strategies to mitigate such risks. Lead, mentor, and develop the export sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the Sales Admin Department to deliver targeted volume. Sustain and manage relationships with high-value clients, executive management, and relevant stake holders.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure representation of our organization in annual industry conferences.
Basic Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MSc or MBA.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills (French).
- Client, Vendor, and Stakeholder Management.
- Willing to embark on extensive travels within the ECOWAS region.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Export Sales; worked in the West African region for a minimum of 5 years at a senior level conducting sales.
- Thorough understanding of commercial and sales principles, business growth, and regulatory requirements in FMCG.
- Thorough knowledge of the main markets and transit markets in the West Africa region.
