Job Title: National Sales Manager
Activities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed company revenue targets across Nigeria.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team across Nigeria to maximize efficiency and results.
- Establish annual sales quotas, forecast sales performance, and set actionable goals for regions and territories.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively address opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to SBU Heads, offering strategic insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the sales budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
- B.Sc in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a M.Sc is an added advantage.
- minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior sales management role within the FMCG sector across Nigeria.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and drive sales teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven attitude and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian FMCG market, including distribution networks, consumer trends, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Nigeria.
