Job Title: Marine Chief Engineer
Activities
- Lead, manage, and supervise the engineering team, ensuring that all personnel under the department operate efficiently and safely.
- Assign duties to the engineering officers and crew, and ensure all personnel are properly trained and qualified for their tasks.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the ship’s propulsion machinery, power generation systems, auxiliary systems, and all other equipment.
- Maintain and update safety procedures, including emergency response plans, and ensure that the engineering team is well-prepared for any potential emergency scenarios.
Candidate Profile
- ND/HND or its equivalence from a recognized Nigerian institution.
- Valid Chief/ 2nd Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (COC)
- STCW Basic Mandatory Certificates
- Discharge Book
- Other supporting documents
