Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Activities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in cars
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Lead a team of truck mechanics
- Train and mentor technicians
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to improve fleet reliability and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure efficient repair processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and manufacturer updates
Candidate Profile
- B. Engr/High National Diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary training in car operations and repair or a related field
- ASE Master Technician certification (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license
- 7+ years of experience as a car engineer
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience with fleet maintenance and repair operations .
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
- Manufacturer-specific training programs (e.g.Toyota, Ford, Honda)
- Advanced diagnostic and repair courses
- Leadership and management training
- Safety training and certification (e.g. OSHA)
