Job Title: Civil Engineer (Project Manager)
Activities
- Project Leadership: Lead and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and Planning: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project designs and plans, including specifications and cost estimates.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize project execution and maintain productivity.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations by conducting regular site inspections and quality control assessments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting to minimize cost overruns.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, contracts, and change orders, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 – 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and civil engineering design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly desirable.
