Job Title: Reservoir Manager

Activities

• Ensure the collection and interpretation of all data, to improve the understanding of the reservoirs/field’s geology
• As part of dynamic modelling, develop models to determine the best way to optimize recovery of hydrocarbons. 
• Unblock any logistics and feasibility issues related to the models 
• Manage the Reservoir Engineer recommendations inclusive of collection of additional specialized reservoir data, fluid sample analysis, pressure data and other information necessary to evaluate reservoirs. 
• Advise on operational activities from a reservoir engineering standpoint. 
• Build and/or update simulation models and use these to generate forecasts. 
• Manage the transfer of technical data between operator and Company personnel 
• Perform a full corporate rotation through each discipline of Drilling, Completions, Reservoir and Productions. 
• Demonstrate awareness and utilization of applications for Reservoir engineering design, simulation, resource management, project management and compliance. 
• Understand and apply methods for formation characterization, well stimulation, geology & geomechanics, nodal analysis, well logging/evaluation/testing, production analysis, drilling practices, and reservoir engineering. 
• Manage interface with other disciplines including Field Operations, Geoscience, Land, and Regulatory. 
• Perform reservoir engineering studies and economic evaluations to quantify drilling potential within new and existing assets. 
• Build reservoir simulation models when appropriate to validate/improve predictions and quantify uncertainty 
• Ensure that all processes comply with an organisation’s objectives and policies

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field. Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage. 
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience possessing good hands–on technical knowledge and experience of relevant Reservoir Engineering software / application. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner, negotiates with peers, partners, and 3rd parties to influence decisions or ways of working.
• Must be a self-motivated individual and possesses ability to work under pressure without compromising on quality. 
• Good problem-solving skills (combining learned procedures and related experience) and the ability to handle large amounts of complex information in a detailed and coordinated manner and to identify critical issues and workflows. 
• Committed to the highest principles of ethics, quality of work with a strong commitment to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) objectives.
