Job Title: Assistant Cosmetic Formulator

Activities

• Researching materials used in cosmetics, such as botanicals, preservatives, fragrance ingredients, emulsifiers, surfactants, and emollients
• Conducting testing of new formulas to ensure safety and effectiveness
• Mixing ingredients according to formulas and creating blends of colors to achieve desired effects
• Creating formulas for hair care products such as shampoo, conditioner, and styling gel
• Formulating products for the lips and nails, such as lip balm and nail polish
• Testing products for compatibility with machinery used in manufacturing and shelf-life stability
• Develops and performs all formulation requirements on new formulas; includes the creation of skincare, cosmetics formulation, mix development, product description/ formulation sheet, lab tests, stability testing/ monitoring, color verification, etc.

Candidate Profile

• B.Sc. / HND in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience and exposure with mass production
• Familiarity with cosmetics, cosmetic formulations, filling, labeling, etc.
• Hands-on experience and exposure in cosmetics formulation.
• Proximity to the Island is very important.
