Job Title: Sectional Head (Cement Mill) – Instrumentation Department

Job Objective

Oversee the instrumentation systems and processes in the Cement Mill to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure the effective management and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in the Cement Mill.
Coordinate the calibration and validation of instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment malfunctions and provide solutions to instrumentation issues.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
Implement best practices for instrumentation maintenance and operations.
Prepare and maintain documentation for instrumentation systems and ensure it is up to date.
Monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with production quality standards.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in all instrumentation operations.
Train and mentor junior staff on instrumentation best practices and safety measures.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Professional certifications in automation or instrumentation will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

Minimum of eight years (8) years relevant work experience in instrumentation, preferably in the cement or manufacturing industry.

Skills and Competencies

Extensive knowledge of instrumentation systems and their applications in cement production.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient in the use of various instrumentation software and tools.
Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
