Job Title: Purchaser
Activities
- Identify and source potential suppliers for goods and services.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
- Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and delivery standards.
- Monitor and control purchasing costs to ensure profitability.
- Work with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels of purchased items.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Candidates should possess a BSc / HND in a relevant field from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of supply chain management.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and tools.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and achieve favorable terms.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to identify and control costs.
- Ability to resolve purchasing issues efficiently.
