Job Title: IT Support Specialist at HR-Aid Consults
Activities
- Provide first and second-level IT support to staff, both remotely and on-site.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Manage and troubleshoot email, internet, and other essential communication tools.
- Maintain and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Assist in monitoring network performance to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted service.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including wireless, switches, and VPN access.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Implement and maintain security policies, such as access control and system security patches.
- Collaborate with the IT team to maintain a secure IT environment and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
- Manage hardware and software inventory, ensuring timely updates and replacements when necessary.
- Assist in the procurement and setup of IT resources for new hires.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for software updates, hardware repairs, and support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Report IT-related issues, work progress, and resolution status to the Admin Manager.
- Provide training to end-users on new software, security protocols, and general IT practices.
- Create and maintain user-friendly guides and documentation to assist employees with common technical issues.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of proven IT support experience in a corporate or technical environment.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with network technologies, including LAN, WAN, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Age range: 21-30 years
- Proximity: Candidates staying on the island are preferred.
