Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Activities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Monitor key financial metrics to ensure the company’s financial health.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Prepare reports for the board of directors, management, and external stakeholders.
- Identify and assess financial risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage insurance programs to protect the company’s assets.
- Manage the company’s cash flow and liquidity.
- Oversee banking relationships and debt financing.
- Manage foreign exchange risk.
- Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Manage tax audits and disputes.
- Investor Relations:
- Communicate with investors and analysts.
- Manage investor relations activities, such as earnings calls and roadshows.
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals.
- Recruit, developand retain top talent.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Candidate Profile
- First degree (BSc/HNDfinance/accounting)MBA is an added advantage
- Qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACCA,CIPFA, ACA)
- Minimum of 7 years post qualifying experience in both Accounting and Management
- Substanstial experience at Senior Management Level
- Experience of developing, delivering and monitoring financial strategy
- Experience in preparation, monitoring and reporting of budget and financial management information
- Proven track record in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry’s economic and regulatory environment.
- Experience in the Financial Management of an Oil and Gas accounts and VAT reporting
- Excellent Working Knowledge of Accounting Systems
- Experience of working within the Oil and Gas Industry
